Hello.
There are suggestions that I should blog in Malay as there are limited scientific resources in Malay. Besides there are many Malay readers out there. Or maybe this is not a big issue since any languages can be translated to any languages nowadays with Google translate! :)
However, I think it is time to reconstruct the concept of my blog, the target audience and most important the objective of writing this blog. I am impressed with technology. Nowadays people do not have to find a publisher to publish their stories or ideas because internet allows us to publish unlimited number of publications without any costs. So I must take this opportunity to write and spread good words.
I remember a nice story I read years ago. The wise man wrote, in this life there are three things he wished to accomplish;
1- To have children
2- To plant trees
3- To write books
The reasons of accomplishing these three wishes are obvious. If I were asked to choose one topic to connect children-trees-books, I would choose 'knowledge'. Books contain recorded 'knowledge' that must be spread to the people and passed down to children to ensure prosperity of future generations. A person with knowledge is synonym as a tree, as long as it is alive, it will continuously giving benefits to the people and things around it.
So, there you go! I believe that many people out there have already accomplished the three wishes. For myself I accomplished number 1 and 2! Hooreyyy! Therefore, what I should do now is to strengthen their existence or presence by providing them with essential nourishment.
And it is time to plan and work for the third wish, to write books! Yes, indeed, I'm in the process of writing one book.

Introduction
Dear readers,
First of all, thank you for visiting this blog. The blog is created as a diary for my PhD study. It also serves as a platform for my supervisors, colleagues and fellow friends to get latest updates of my activities and discuss about anything related to my study which include laboratory procedures, fish, microalgae, publications, and writing.
A bit introduction of my research, the title of the study is 'microbial stability in recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) with or without microalgae'. General objective of my study is to explore the influence of microalgae on the stability of RAS.
Officially, the study have started from February 2011 until February 2015. The duration is targetted for the completion of PhD degree, but I believe that the learning process is endless.
I will write as much as I could, as I have another 2 books to fill in; one is my daily planner cum notebook and the other one is my laboratory book.
Till we meet again in future entries.
